Topical Effective Altruism events

Occasionally · Space 21, 18:00

Topical Effective Altruism events are discussion sessions where you can participate in thought-provoking conversations about effective altruism over a cup of tea. They are held occasionally at Aalto's Space 21 at 18:00. Volunteer-led discussions cover a wide range of EA topics, and we welcome all participants regardless of background or level of familiarity. Whether you're an experienced EA enthusiast or a curious newcomer, TEA Tuesdays provides a relaxed and open space to share ideas, ask questions, and discover new perspectives.

Come meet like-minded people and deepen your understanding of how we can make a positive impact in the world. See you at TEA Tuesdays for a chat over a cup of tea!

Acknowledgments

Aalto University's Space 21 is our primary event venue and also provides snacks for many of our sessions. During 2025, we organised three cohorts of our five-week EA Intro Program, two multi-week reading groups, movie nights and Estimation Games events, TEA Tuesdays discussion evenings, and several co-working sessions and meetups at Space 21. In total, we spent an average of 10 productive hours there each week.

Center for Effective Altruism provides the funding and support that make our activities possible.

EA Finland supports us by enabling intro programmes, supporting the board, and providing key resources.

AYY provides additional funding.
