The Effective Altruism In-Depth Program

is a four-week reading group with weekly meetings and engaging materials designed
to deepen your understanding of the core principles and cause areas of Effective Altruism (EA).
The program is aimed at those who have completed the EA Intro Program or have equivalent familiarity with EA
and are ready to engage with the ideas at a deeper level.

The syllabus will cover topics such as agency, epistemics, and the acceleration of societal change,
while also being partially tailored to each group's interests. Optional topics include technical AI safety, AI governance, global health and poverty, animal rights and welfare, the near-term impacts of AI, biotechnology,
climate change and biodiversity loss.

You can take part either in person in Helsinki, Espoo, or online from anywhere. Meetings are held once a week and are supported by individual readings and reflection between sessions.

Participation is free, thanks to Effective Altruism Finland’s funding and the efforts of the organisation’s volunteers.

The deadline for signing up is March 8th,
and the program begins in the week starting March 16th. Participants will be sent a
When2meet poll at the beginning of week 11, after the groups have been formed.
