What is the best way to make the world a better place?
This question inspired a global community known as Effective Altruism (EA)—people seeking evidence-based, impactful ways to solve the world’s biggest problems, and then acting on what they learn.
Around this idea, a rich ecosystem has formed: research fields, charity start-up communities and evaluators, career advisory organizations, local groups, and conferences.

Effective Altruism Finland and Local Groups
EA organizations in Finland bring people together to learn about and discuss effective altruism. Our goal is to raise awareness of EA and help each other—and others—do more good with a focus on impact.
We support one another in finding effective ways to contribute, whether through career choices, donations, or volunteering.
Effective Altruism Finland is a nationwide organization. In addition, there are local groups at Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, and in Tampere, as well as emerging groups in Jyväskylä, Kuopio, and elsewhere. We also host online events.
